Transportation
Students who are being picked up have a designated area to wait. Parents are expected to park in the lot and pick up their child from designated area or wait until a member of staff brings the child to the car at the crosswalk. The bus lane should be used for Bus pick up and drop off only.
Students riding the school bus have a designated area to wait. They are expected to board the buses in an orderly manner and conduct themselves accordingly while the bus is in motion. Students unable to demonstrate the appropriate behavior while utilizing this service will be suspended from riding the bus. These services may be terminated if poor behavioral traits continue to be exhibited. Parents will be notified if there is a need to suspend or revoke bus privileges.
Once the last bus leaves the premises, there is no supervision provided for students waiting to be picked up. Parents should make every effort to pick up their child by3:00 pm. If the child is participating in an after school program, a concerted effort should be made to pick the child up by the designated time as well.
Should an emergency or unexpected situation occur, impending the ability to do so, parents should notify the school immediately so that we may be aware of the delay and the new instructions the child should follow.
All students must leave the school premises immediately after dismissal if they walk home. Those who are picked up or transported by the bus are expected to report to their designated waiting area. Children are not permitted to wait for their parents in the parking lot. This is not a safe area for them. Students will not be supervised in this area,
