Report card/Progress Reports

Progress reports are sent home during the first, second and third marking periods.  Students' progress can also be monitored on Power School utilizing the Parental Portal.  Information on the Parent Portal can be obtained in the school's main office.

Parents are encouraged to visit the school to discuss their child's progress with the teachers.  However, an appointment must be scheduled.  This maximizes the time spent and does not compromise the instructional time for students.

Report cards are prepared for each student and distributed to parents each marking period.  However, report cards maybe withheld for individuals who are indebted to the school for damaged or lost books and equipment.  It is beneficial for parents to discuss these reports with their children to establish strategies for improvement when necessary.  When closer monitoring, supervision and assistance are required, parents are urged to visit the school.  The final marking period is not the appropriate time for such action.  Time, effort and energy should be invested from the first marking period in order to achieve the desired results for student success and promotion.
